We’re head over heels for the latest addition to our WORN TO WILD by woom collection: the FLARE T-shirt is patterned with your bicycle illustrations, which were submitted as part of the woom drawing drive..The hand-drawn aspect makes this trend piece a real eye-catcher. Here’s the full story behind this very special design:

WORN TO BE WILD by you

Back in April this year, we threw open a month-long invitation to all cycling fans to get creative for our WORN TO BE WILD by woom apparel collection and send us their best sketch of a bicycle. One entry was destined to be printed on a jersey in the new collection. But when 825 hand-drawn bicycles landed in our mailbox – all of which displayed well-thought-out frame engineering and innovative designs – we were speechless! We set ourselves the almost impossible task of trying to pick our favourite bicycle out of all the beautiful entries…

But this was not easy!

We realised very quickly that it would be a travesty to only pick one bicycle design for a single piece of apparel. Wouldn’t it be so much cooler to bring as many of your great creations to life as possible?  Our design team got busy putting pen to paper: one top, with an overall print of 16 hand-drawn bicycles. But even that was not enough…! We were so in awe of the creativity that you guys had shown with your bike creations that we decided to make an entire mini collection including a t-shirt, cap and gilet all using the print! The t-shirt is the first piece of the collection to arrive, and it gives you a flavour for what’s going to drop in early 2021! It’s time to start getting excited!
